About How To Vote
How To Vote is the UK's longest-running general election decision site, and has been used by millions of people. It is truly independent, and is not run for profit.
The site first launched in 2001, as How2Vote, when hundreds of thousands of people took the survey to help them decide how to vote. With new versions of the site for the 2005 general election, and again for 2010, How To Vote was completely refreshed for 2015 with a new mobile-friendly design. It was also expanded to cover the five main English parties, given the wider coverage of the Green Party and the UK Independence Party during the 2015 general election.
How To Vote is a spare-time project of Dr Gareth Moore, who is the creator of daily brain-training site Brained Up and also runs the puzzle supplier, Any Puzzle Media. Gareth is also the named author of over 100 brain-training, puzzle, trivia, optical illusion and quiz books from many of the world's best-known publishers, and among various accolades was described in The Sun as "Britain's King of Puzzles". He runs How To Vote purely for fun, in the hope that it functions as a useful civic service.
